This is actually accurate. some conservatives hate agreeing with progressives at all costs, even if they actually do. I’ve actually dealt with this. Some conservatives don’t even want to work with liberals even if there are areas we can agree on- or work out together. Some prefer to divide and fight. Some like disrupting families, breaking relationships, tearing apart people.
Instead of working together and taking time to understand one another, some conservatives prefer to argue and yell at all costs. Some prefer to assume before asking. Some prefer to demean. While this is also true of some progressives, I’ve had more experience with this behavior from conservatives. A lot more. Some conservatives would rather ridicule and demean family members, friends, etc than actually discuss issues and philosophical differences. To some conservatives (especially those who watch FOX News and Glenn Beck fans) HATE everything about progressives. They see them as a bigger enemy than Al Qaeda. They want to destroy them at all costs. There is no way to reason with these über-conservatives.
I’d like to think that not all conservatives are like this, just the asshats who get air time. And the sheep who pay attention to them. There are some conservatives out there who want to discuss our philosophical differences and work things out. Unfortunately, they don’t get air time. And they are a shrinking group as they become the crazy, mean ones or reject the republican party and conservative ideals all together.

The Tea Party: Now Available in Liberal!
At a time when Tea Party support dwindles by the day, even as they are given additional exposure by major networks, its good to see that liberals are finally starting to organize at the grassroots level.

The Solid Ground movement was founded by Mike Scala of Queens, New York, as a response to the Tea Party and other forces who attempt — often successfully — to subvert the will of the American people. Fringe groups are gifted at promoting their agendas by speaking the loudest to create the impression that they represent the most voices. It seems we liberals are an apathetic lot, we talk about fixing things a lot, we write about it, but what it will take to change things is action…
Yeah, every time I bring up a liberal version of the tea party, no one really cares. I see why we get fucked over so much. :/
