Speaking of people who think they have higher-than-thou morals…
It bothers me when people look down on others for taking meds, as if we’re just shills for “Big Pharma”. Maybe if you walked a second in someone else’s shoes and had their bodies, you’d sing a different tune. This can include anything from psychiatric meds to cannabis to allergy medicine—really anything. Some people are on a high horse because they don’t ever take anything. And many times, those people drink alcohol and/or caffeine. One: those are drugs, too. That have the potential to be very dangerous. And two: who are you to think what’s better or worse?
How easy it is for someone with “normal” physiology it is to not understand someone else’s ailments. It really vexes me when someone makes a comment, especially without knowing what the conditions are or even the meds taken. Maybe “Big Pharma” does try to screw us at every turn, that doesn’t mean what they produce is useless. People who have cheaper medicine in other countries still take those same pills.

Some herbal ‘medicines’ may have small bits of anecdotal ‘evidence’ but homeopathy isn’t even that. (FYI, I’m not saying that herbal remedies are effective either.) There are no active ingredients in homeopathic ‘drugs’ (or they’re are so diluted that it’s virtually nonexistent). People OD on the stuff to prove it does nothing.

Barney Frank and Ron Paul to Introduce Legislation on Thursday that would Fully Legalize Marijuana
“Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) will introduce “bi-partisan legislation tomorrow ending the federal war on marijuana and letting states legalize, regulate, tax, and control marijuana without federal interference,” according to a press release”

HURRAY! An end to the drug war, unfair incarcerations, and erasure of people who use medical marijuana! It’s nice to see people working ‘across the aisle’. Legalizing pot isn’t the issue I thought we’d all come together on, but hey, I’m not mad about it.
Because those are two politicians and an issue all of Congress and America take seriously.
I mean, I’m all for it, but it ain’t gonna happen.
I’m very glad to see this. It doesn’t mean I think it’ll pass, but the more it comes to the floor, the changes of re-legalization become greater. Or lessen.
I like seeing liberals and conservatives work together. It’s such a shame it’s become a no-no (to conservatives) to talk with us evil progressives. :\ It’s nice to see there are some mature politicians left.
Oh and I have to give Ron Paul credit. I sometimes agree with him, sometimes not. I don’t like his take on the separation of church and state (or lack thereof!). But I give him credit for saying the same spiel for years. He’s not swayed by what’s popular or who’s not doing what. He’s not ashamed of his accomplishments like Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin are. He’s true to his beliefs, which is rare in politics. (Although, I don’t view flip-flopping as always a bad thing. Sometimes, it’s good to change your mind after serious consideration of new evidence.)
I agree with his stance on drugs (yes, all drugs). I also think prostitution should be legal. I’m libertarian on social issues like these, as well as marriage equality. Though, I lean more towards democratic-socialist on some others. I believe in free market. I also think that health should not be on that market. Or education (at least not all). Plus some other things that I seem to think are just plain reasonable.

Join the world in ending this silly “war”. It doesn’t work and it’s plainly wrong. It would save money and LIVES. We’d take all the power from drug lords and gangsters- it would end most of the violence attributed to them.
Save money. Give us our rights back. It’s a no-brainer!

What is considered a “drug”? Caffeine kills more people than cannabis. Mostly everyone takes something. Where do you draw the line between doing something because of the side effects or despite them?
At least whoever made this has found a way to feel superior to everyone else. Well, good for them.
And what does being a slut have to do with drug use??
