Remember: The United States is not a “Christian nation”.
The Treaty of Tripoli states that “the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion”.
It was signed in 1796 at Tripoli and, in 1797, signed at Algiers for a third-party witness. It was submitted by President John Adams, soon receiving unanimous ratification from the U.S. Senate.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

Something I wonder as well.
This always makes me so angry. I grew up in a very religious environment, one that has a major difference from most Prodestant religions. I feel VERY strongly about separation of church and state for a lot of reasons, but I think religious people should DEFINITELY believe in it because if religion starts getting involved in state business, it won’t take long for the state to feel it has a right to govern religion. And I won’t disagree with it.
