I love the people I’ve “met” here but felt the need to take a break. Plus, my Tumblr mobile app stopped working properly. So I uninstalled and reinstalled it. I will check on that later. The nice Tumblr app doesn’t appear to be available for my older operating system (G1 - original Android)…until I get a new phone, I will make due with so-so apps.
BTW: Yes, I changed my username. For anyone who missed it. I am no longer interhuss.

Not every homophobe uses religion to back up his/her hatred. Some won’t even try to use it as an ‘excuse’. Some are just through-n-through bigots.
These same people are so proud of how they feel but when you call them out on it, perhaps call them a “bigot” or say something else related, they look shocked. As if their willful ignorance is justified. As if awfully hateful statement they just uttered somehow does not make them bigoted.

I posted on this right after TAM8. It is true that atheist and skeptic groups tend to be on the paler side. The lack of color has been improving lately but it still stands out. I didn’t even notice a deficit of women at TAM, so at least that’s improving.
